Maintaining your vehicle's battery

Your vehicle's battery is the pulse of your car. Maintaining the battery is important at all times, but especially in the winter - no one wants to get stranded on the side of the road! Low or weak batteries are harder to start, especially in the colder months.

Know the signs of a weak battery: the check engine light may come on, your headlights may seem dimmer than usual, the electronics on your vehicle may not work correctly, and you may even experience a sulfur like smell. These are all signs to have your battery checked or replaced.

When purchasing a new battery, you will want to consider the CCA (cold cranking amps).  The higher the CCA, the more power the battery has to start up your vehicle.  Batteries will last on average three to five years.  However, the climate you live in and other factors may shorten the life span of your battery.

Our knowledgeable technicians can test your battery's voltage and clean the terminals if needed. We have a selection of commonly used batteries in stock as well. Reach out to us today - we're here to help with any questions you may have with your vehicle's battery!
